  • Who was the original developer of this website?
    • A fellow TOP'er and 2020 graduate, Ashlee Nix.
  • What is TOP about?
    • TOP is about getting out of your comfort zone, trying new things, and being self-directed about what you want to learn about. 
  • What does PBL stand for?
    • PBL stands for Project-Based Learning, which is a major factor in TOP. In TOP we call these self-directed learning projects. Basically, a self-directed learning project is an individualized, self-directed PBL.
  • What is an advisor?
    • An advisor is like having another counselor but within TOP. They help make sure you are on track with classes and projects. Advisors are also content experts in the TOP program and CCHS teachers. 
  • What are advising and advising groups?
    • Advising happens once a week on Wednesday. Students meet with their assigned advisor during the block they are the teacher is present. An advising group is the three to four other people who meet with the same advisor.
