Expeditionary On-Site Learning

TOP students are expected to engage as active students within their community in order to cultivate a civic and global perspective. To accomplish this, TOP students and staff leave CCHS twice a month, on Thursdays, for learning experiences. In addition, TOP students are required to attend an overnight orientation trip, two overnight expeditions, and a week long camping expedition that takes place in the spring of each school year. These trips are sanctioned school activities and count as excused field trips. Students are expected to complete and turn in a reflection of their experiences to their advisor. TOP students are expected to attend all onsite learning experiences unless their absence is approved, in advance, by their advisor.
